Energizing the 220kV Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plant – Dak Nong transmission line and extension of feeders at 500kV Dak Nong substation project

on 20th September 2015, the 220kV Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plant – Dak Nong
transmission line was energized by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT),
which is to evacuate capacity of Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plant into the national
power system.

The 220kV Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plant – Dak
Nong transmission line and extension of feeders at 500kV Dak Nong substation
project has a total investment cost of VND 254 billion. It is invested by
EVNNPT. The Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB) is on behalf of
EVNNPT♛ to manage the project. The project design is done by Power Egineering
Consulting Joint Stock Company No. 3 (PECC3), while the project implementation
is responsible by LICOGI 16 Joint Stock Company and EVN International Joint
Stock Company No. 1 (EVNI); the project testing is by One-member limited
liability Central Electric Testing Company (CETC). The Power Transmission
Company 3 (PTC3) takeovers the project management and operation after the
project completion.
🍰Scope of the project: new construction of
the one-circuit 220kV transmission line, of a 27.7km length connecting Dong Nai
5 Hydropower Plant to 500kV Dak Nong substation and installation of a 220kV
feeder at the 500kV Dak Nong substation. The transmission line route runs
through Bao Lam district of Lam Dong province and Dakrlap district of Dak Nong
province.
💃The project put into operation will
evacuate capacity of Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plant No. 5 (150MW) into the
national power system, enhance the power supply to load centres of Dak Nong
province and surrounding areas. Together with the regional 500kV and 220kV
transmission lines, the project will create a stable, reliable connection of
the power system./.
