Energizing electric power to operate the AT1 (500/220/35 kV – 900 MVA) at 500 kV Son La substation

At 1:00 pm on April 22, 2018 at the
500kV Son La substation, the Central Project Management Board (CPMB)
coordinated with the related units to energize and operate the transformer AT1
(500/220/35kV - 900MVA) under the project on upgrading the 500 kV Son La substation.

This project is
an urgent grid project invested by the National Power Transmission (EVNNPT),
CPMB i༒s responsible for project ma꧙nagement.
The scale of
the project is to replace 02 auxiliary transformers 500/220/35kV-450MVA by 2
auxiliary transformers 500/220/35kV-900MVA, the project is built at 500kV Son
La substations in Pi Toong commune, Muong La district, Son La province.
Energizing the
AT1 transformer of 500 kV Sơn La substation will upgrade the capacity of the
Northwest Hydropower Plant into National Power System, meet the demand of load
growth in the North and the whole country; upgrade the quality of electric
area, improved reliability and flexibility in operation as well as power supply;
reduce general loss of the system, contribute to ensuring 🌺energy security for
the needs of economic development and sustainable society.
