Energizing 2nd phase project on upgrade of series capacitor for 500kV Di Linh – Pleiku transmission line.

At 7h10, on 11th August 2013, at 500kV Di Linh substation, Power Transmission Company No. 4 (PTC4) under National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) energized 2nd phase project on upgrade of series capacitor for the 500kV Di Linh – Pleiku section of transmission line. Before this time, the 500kV Di Linh – Tan Dinh transmission line was completed, commissioned, energized at phase 1 on July 17th 2013.
Upgrade of series capacitor at 500kV Di Linh substation is a component of project “Upgrade of series capacitor for the 500kV Pleiku-Phu Lam transmission line”, with a total investment of over VND 857 billion. The items of work includ: Installing 06 series capacitor banks at a rated current of 2000A, in which 02 banks installed in 500kV Pleiku substation (01 for the 500 kV Pleiku – Dak Nong transmission line; 01 for the 500 kV Pleiku – Di Linh transmission line); 02 banks installed in the 500kV Dak Nong substation (01 for the 500kV Dak Nong – Phu Lam transmission line; 01 for the 500kV Pleiku- Dak Nong); 02 banks installed in the 500kV Di Linh substation (01 for the 500kV Pleiku - Di Linh transmission line; 01 for the 500kV Di Linh – Tan Dinh transmission line).
The project on upgrade of series capacitor in the 500kV Di Linh substation aims to increase the transmission capacity of the 500kV Pleiku-Phu Lam transmission line. The project is invested by EVNNPT, assigned to PTC4 for management and operation, while the installation is carried out by PTC3, equipment are p▨r🍸ovided by GE.
