Currently, Quang Ngai power Transmission branch is deploying the supervision consultant to check and take over 46 km of Doc Soi – Son Ha 220 kV power line and Son Ha substation. According to the operation mode, Quang Ngai 500 kV substation mostly receives power through the second circuit of Da Nang – Doc Soi 500kV power transmission line and transmits to supply power for the South, Central Highland area and 09 substations at 110KV voltage level, including: Ky Ha, Tam Ky 110kV substations and 03 220 kV substations. 220kV substations Dung Quat and Quang Ngai receive power from 500kV Quang Ngai substation through 220 kV power lines Doc Soi - Dung Quat, Doc Soi - Quang Ngai and supply power for 110kV substations Dung Quat Port, Binh Chanh, Tinh Phong, Quang Ngai, Tu Nghia, Mo Duc, Duc Pho.
This is the second largest branch in PTC2  while  it operated to receive power through 500 kV power transmission line (2nd circuit) with the highest transmission capacity (P = 1236 MW) some time.  To complete the task of safe operation management for the power transmission network, during last time, the branch has fully updated and registered the statistical book at subsidiary units, documents of equipment were in detailed record and easy to look up. In addition, the branch also stored on the website for easy and quick consultation serving operation management. Periodically check, check and handle the violations of the right of way (ROW); organize day and night periodic inspections; unscheduled check route of power lines in load and no load conditions; regularly clear trees in the ROW, ensure distance of phase and land as regulated; move the coverage out of ROW to prevent fire causing breakdowns on power lines, especially during the dry season. The branch also signed commitment of protection within high voltage network’s ROW with households, organizations, enterprises certified by the local government. The branch has focused to timely handle existing technical problems to ensure safety and reliability in power supply in dry season and flood prevention. As the result, in early 5 months of 2013, Quang Ngai power transmission branch had no faults of substations on the power network.
