On September 29th 2013, in Cu Chi (Ho Chi Minh city), a ceremony on celebrating on success of the 220kV Dak Nong – Phuoc Long – Binh Long Transmission line (T/L) and launching an emulation movement on completion of the 500kV Pleiku- My Phuoc – Cau Bong T/L project.
The project is a typification on progress, quality, solidarity in overcoming difficulties
The 220kV Dak Nong – Phuoc Long – Binh Long T/L project has a totl investment of nearly VND 1,400 billion, with a length of 128.172 km. It runs through 2 provinces of Dak Nang and Binh Phuoc. The units participated in the project include: Power Construction Company No. 1 and No. 4 (PCC1 and PCC4); Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB); Power Transmission Company No. 4 (PTC4).
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuyen - Director of CPMB, the 220kV Dak Nong – Phuoc Long – Binh Long  is a critical project, with big and complex scale, short duration for implementation, severe weather conditions because of long-time rain, inconvenient topography due to many mountains, big change of elevation, difficult finance arrangement. However, the compensation and site clearance are the biggest difficulties in project due to the policy on compensation price is different from loc๊alities, so the households make co༺mparision and be envious of others, do not receive compensation fee.

To ensure the project progress, EVN’s Labour Union launched a joint emulation for 220kV Dak Nong – Phuoc Long – Binh Long T/L in order to encourage its subsidiaries and entire labourers to complete tasks well. As an investor, EVNNPT concentrated highly on approval of feasibilities study, technical design – total estimate, procurement plan and contractor selection. CPMB actively follows-up site works, directly checks the progress as well as supervises and speeds up contractor to carry out implementation, understand difficulties, constraints to find out solutions. In the site, there  are always thousands of workers of units carried out the construction. The detail plan on quantity and progress are made, pre-foreseen and solutions are also made for arising problems, if any. Especially, PCC1 utilized the most modern technologies such as balloon and synchronous equipment for line tension in order to minimize the tree cutting down in forest and right-of-way, to reduce damages to people, reduce compensation costs, save power cut-off duration for implementation, limit affection to power supply to locality.

After over 12 months of rapid implementation, on December 28th 2012, the 220kV Dak Nong – Phuoc Long – Binh Long T/L has been energized successfully and put into operation. Since being energized, the 220kV Dak Nong – Phuoc Long – Binh Long T/L operate safely, effectively, contributing to power supply to the South in 2013 and next years.

Making a speech at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung – Chairman of V🍷ietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) highly apprec🦩iated the close coordination among the investor, project management board, implementing units, local authorities as well as the self-sacrifice efforts by workers and employees in the site to ensure the project progress. Mr. Tung confirmed that this project is typical for progress and quality, the efforts made by and coordination among units. Therefore, EVN, local People’s Committees and relevant units continue to bring into play the gained achievement so that the remaining critical transmission projects will reach the progress, with best quality, contributing to a stable power supply to the South, ensuring energy security for the country in such a current power shortage.
Summarizing the emulation movement, 118 collectives, individuals received Certificate by Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), EVN, EVNNPT, EVN’s Labour Union and EVNNPT’s Labour Union.
